Case Study: Renault Twingo

Working with Renault’s Agency, 3 Dimensional Print produced sets of free standing Twingo display units as part of a multi item campaign, most of which we also produced. 241 each of 4 kinds were manufactured with a themed message.

‘Hook it up’ (iPod, Bluetooth and hands free), ‘Stack it up’ (luggage capacity), ‘Crank it up’ (performance), ‘Style it up’ (interior and exterior features).

The floor standing units consisted of a cube base printed in 4 colour process on .028 folding box board and forme cut and creased to shape. The cube was assembled with 2 gluings and contained a reinforced lid. To provide a sturdy anchorage for the pole and header graphics above, the cube base concealed a water filled base. The double sided header graphics were printed on folding box board in 4 colour process, punched to shape and hand mounted to all faces, of a shaped hot wire cut, 80mm deep polystyrene piece, which then slid over a pole by means of a slot cut into the polystyrene.

The displays were packed flat in sets of four into a corrugated packing carton along with a set of assembly instructions for each dealership. 281 sets of packaged displays were then sent to a distribution house for delivery to Renault dealerships.

As you can see from the photograph, these free standing floor display units provided the Renault dealerships with eye catching point of sale for the new Twingo.
